Inspired by Acne Studios the shearling coat is still a big hit this season (which makes me happy!) and you will find countless versions on the High Street!
Whilst shopping for lots of of different coats this AW16 (military coat story coming up next on the blog – keep an eye out), I came across this beautiful ASOS shearling coat (another bloggers’ favourite). Unlike all the other shearling coats out there, this coat is part of the ASOS Premium collection and it comes in a beautiful oversized midi-length — I’m obsessed with it!
It has all the detail of the aviator shearling (belted cuffs and collar) but in a midi-length (my favourite!). With press stud fastening and suedette fabric the coat has a faux shearling lining keeping you extra warm for those winter months ahead!
Transitioning my pretty spring dresses with thick winter coats and winter boots, I’ve styled it with the ASOS white DRESS and an old favourite pair of Topshop boots (you can find similar here and here) to give the look some edge.
I think this has to be one of my favourite coats for this season — and I’m glad it’s here to stay!
