How to wear black in the summer

Who said you can’t wear black in the summer? I’ll be honest I hate wearing black and I feel like you can’t wear it in the summer right? But you sure can, you just have to be careful to not to get too hot but there are a few little things you can do to ensure wearing black is still totally possible.

First things first if you are gunna wear black, let it hang loosely (so you can breathe easily!) around your body.  I wore this black denim with a raw edge hem from ASOS (here) as it hangs off my body, without making me feel sweaty! It has 3/4 length sleeves, lightweight and a smock fit which allows a lot of air-flow, perfect for those summer days.

I wore this dress during the weekend and I’ve mentioned before (here) how Denim is always my go-to piece for the weekend (and weekdays now that I work from home) so this dress ticked every box for me! I teamed this dress with my Senso boots (here) which are backless, so my ankles are out and exposed to help cool me down.

I pulled the whole look together with my slick back hair, ray bans (here) and marks and Spencer bag (here and similar here) for an LA relaxed vibe. It’s one of my favourite weekend uniform, as I literally just chuck it on pull my hair pack and ready to go!

I kept jewellery to a minimum except my new eyland bracelet which was gifted to me.

I love that it’s actually denim but black, what a nice difference as opposed to a cotton dress, love it!
