Kardamena Travel Guide and What I Wore

Every year it’s super exciting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the every day life (you guys know what I’m talking about right?!) so this year was my husbands choice to pick a travel destination for two weeks and boy did he pick a good one (soooo good that I might just let him also pick next years travel spot but shhhh!).

I’ve been to many different parts of Greece but wow, I was totally shocked with just how beautiful Kardamèna is! I think Greece has to be my favourite place to visit during the summer months and every time I visit my breath is taken away by just how beautiful this country is so I wanted to create a little travel guide to where we stayed and what I wore on vacation!

We stayed in the family bungalow at the beautiful Mitsis Blue Domes (located in Kos) which was incredibly spacious. This is a little on the pricey side but there are other types of available rooms to suit each and every kind of budget. I’ve never done all inclusive as I would much rather be out every night exploring new food in different restaurants but when you have two little babies with you, it was the best option for sure and I couldn’t be happier with our stay! This resort was beyond A-mazing! The variety of a-la carte restaurants and food on the resort meant we didn’t miss out on anything.  They have everything from Italian, Mexican to Greek and Asian food to suit all kind of taste buds.  If you have a sweet tooth like me, there is a little patisserie open until midnight where you can pick any kind of cake, ice cream or crepes (or you can pick all three!). There is a variety of pools you can choose from as well as a private allocated beach for you which wins our vote every time! You can relax on the beach with a massage or take time like I did with some yoga on the beach which runs every morning during the summer months. The resort is super huge so you can ask for a little golf buggy to take you round the resort, which my little boys seemed to really enjoy!

Kardamena is a lovely little place to visit, if your not looking for anything too touristy and you can visit anytime of the year from April – November and experience lovely warm weather. We visited end of September for two weeks and the temperature was still waayyy into the mid 30’s perfect weather if you have children (not too hot or too cold).

You can catch a bus from the resort and head straight to Kardamena (10 minute bus journey) which is great if you fancy doing something other than sun, sea an sand. Kardamena is a little fishing village and you can find lots of little flea markets selling everything imaginable! From cloths, to jewellery to hats and ceramic pots, you name it they sell it.  There are plenty of bars and restaurants to stop off at, and you an even pick and select your own fish!

I really hope you enjoyed this short little guide on m y stay in Kardamena and what I wore on Vacation. Tag me on Instagram if you have stayed in any of the Mitsis Premium Resorts so that I can see all your pretty pictures or you can use the hashtag #huesofwhiteblog !
