Why have I not worn corduroy before? It goes with anything and resembles everything I love about the 70’s (I’m thinking stranger things vibes, you with me?) which is effortless dressing at its best. I saw this trend so much on the runways and I knew it was going to be huge this season, so here I am wearing exactly that and what do you know, the high streets are loving this look so much too! You will be able to find corduroy where ever you go. I tried on so many (from H&M’s sold out two piece to urban outfitters) but for me the most flattering was this one from Mango (here).
You can also get the matching pants to this blazer however even there smallest size seemed to be a little too big so I would advise to go a size down. The length of this blazer works really well with everything (not too long and not too short which is great for every kind of body shape!) and I’ve teamed it here with a beige pair of Mango Trousers (here) from their tailored capsule. La Redoute have you covered for all your basic tops and this one I’m wearing from their studio collection (here) is in my favourite colour of the moment and offsets the corduroy for the perfect casual but smart weekend look. Keep your accessories simple, and let the blazer do all the talking.
I’ve styled it with this season’s biggest footwear trend, the red boots to give this outfit an edgy look . I’m wearing the Osha boots from Dune (here) I can’t get enough of the red boots at the moment and Dune have got you covered with so many different styles for you to choose from (and they have 20% off everything-so what you waiting for?!)
