Typically I don’t tend to wear a lot of colour, in fact if you were to go through my wardrobe you will see a lot of warm white and neutral tones and a very thin amount of pops of colour! But I’ve been wanting to add some colour to my wardrobe as we head into SS18. This season is all about colour from pastel pink and purple tones to vibrant yellow and red there’s something for everyone. I’ve been wanting this Matching Mango set (shirt here and wide leg pants here) for some time now and I was super excited to get my hands on it, after all this Matching set has become Mango’s most sell out piece for this season (according to Instagram).
I first saw it on my favourite influencer Camille Charriere and really wanted to get my hands on it and then Mango reduced the trousers to half price so I thought that was a great excuse to purchase the set, right? What I love most about this look is the contrast seam throughout, from the collar to the details on the trousers which is set to be huge for this season. It was so sunny out this day and this look was perfect as it’s super light because it’s made out of cotton which makes it totally breathable and I’ll be packing this for my Paris and Italy road trip.
The collar is a beautiful tie which polish’s the look off and I’ve styled it with my favourite purchase from Staud (here) and my over worn white Topshop Boots (similar here and here). I wasn’t kidding when I mentioned here that I couldn’t stop wearing these boots! And as it may be sunny it’s still a little cool out there so the ankle boots worked well with the look. What I love most though about this Matching set (and I’m a sucker for a co-ordinate set as I mentioned here) is how super versatile it is. I’m headed for a weekend in London and I’ll be styling the shirt with some white jeans and the trousers with a basic roll-neck. For my holiday I’ll be wearing this set with my new sandals which I can’t wait to show you!
