Gingham Reformation Dress W/ Short Crop Trench for A Casual Brunch

Since having babies I find myself dressing up even more than I did so before. Maybe it’s because I’m largely at home most of the time so when I get the opportunity such as a bloggers brunch with Becca and Lauren I like to make the effort and dress up, but with a casual spin.

For a girl who would swear to “never wear gingham” now my entire summer wardrobe is filled of the things thanks to Reformation and this one I’m wearing hereΒ and similar here has to be the best purchase I’ve made (worth all the pennies of savings!). You can wear this dress all year long if you style it right so it’s now become my kind of investment piece. I kept the look casual, and not to mention warm with my new Short Crop Trench Coat (here) and similar here from MangoΒ ,which I grabbed in the sale for Β£10.00 .I love the understated aspect of this trench teamed with the dress. I styled the rest of the look with my Free People Denim Mules (here) and my new Ganni socks (here). Socks and mules have fast become my signature look so I wanted to style the dress and trench combination with this.

I kept jewellery to a minimum as I’m wearing the prettiest bow headband from Topshop that I seem to wear everywhere at the moment in-case you couldn’t tell from my Instagram stories!
