If you know me by now, you will know that my wardrobe has slowly been taken over by this pattern, that I have now become obsessed with! Gingham is the perfect pattern for SS18, and as a lover of investment pieces only, this print will see you through nicely to next season so you guys can get the most wear out of it. I teamed this gingham linen skirt (here and super similar affordable version here) with a gingham bardot top from Mango (similar here and in the sale for £10.00! Also similar here) for a belated birthday girls brunch, and I loved the idea of clashing and playing with the same print. There is something fun and playful about the idea.
I love this time of year as its getting warmer so there’s no need for a jacket as its been quite hot and humid so this outfit was perfect. Light and breezy and as I mentioned here linen is great for the warmer months. As linen tends to crease this skirt didn’t disappoint, however as it’s patterned you couldn’t actually tell it had creases, which is a bonus for me! The pattern and style of bardot top is super flattering for everyone. What I love most about this skirt is the paperbag waist. The way it clenches your waist in helps to highlight a more curvaceous you which I’m happy about, as my figure is pretty straight down this kind of style helps curate a waist I never had!
As the outfit kinda screams “picnic” I styled it with my trusted net bag (here and similar here). I also wore my Senso Ray mules ( here and these are in the sale from Office and super similar here) and finished the outfit off with my trusted Missoma necklaces here and here. So with all the sales going on which I wrote about here, I have added new items to, make sure to grab some gingham items as it’s super versatile in adding these key pieces into your fall wardrobe.
Whenever I see gingham I think “hues of white” great look great styling
