Silk scarves have long forever been a favourite with the fashion crowd, but until now I haven’t owned one that I have truly fell in love with. I find there are so many different patterns and fabric that actually it can be really hard to find one that suits you and that you would feel comfortable wearing! I was beyond super excited to team up with Aeneis and their luxury yet chic scarves to show you three different ways to style a silk scarf! A chic Parisian store that masters the art of french dressing! The silk scarf possibilities are endless. You can wear it as a top (dependant on size of the scarf mind..) or you can wear it around your neck teamed with a bardot top for a chic day time off duty look. It’s versatility is why you guys should invest in one and I’ve picked the red Botanical scarf (here) to style in my new series of “Three Ways to..”.
Head Scarf
Here I’ve styled the Aeneis Botanical silk scarf (here) as a head scarf. This botanical scarf is nature inspired such as palm leaves and insects. All their scarves have been hand crafted from my motherland, Italy from silk- twill. Head scarf’s have been a huge hit this season and it’s a super pretty and easy way to update your wardrobe. I’ve tied a pretty bow at the top with Blare Waldorf in mind which gives the look an editorial finish and look to the outfit. It will always look best if you tie your hair up in a loose low bun first. The wrap the scarf around your head and tie. Once adjusted to how you want it to look and positioned right, pull out a few strands from either side of your parting and let it hang down in kinky waves for that effortless vibe.
Bag accessory
Adding a silk scarf like I have here is a great way to pull your look together and add texture at the same time by simply tying it around the handle of your bag. I’ve styled mine here with the Simon Miller bonsai bucket bag via Farfetch (here) and the cult Gaia lilleth bag (here) via shopbop. The colour of the scarf goes lovely against the natural brown hues of both bag but in fact it would probably go with most colours.’Simply tie a knot and let the scarf hang effortlessly loose.
Hair Tie
Now the other way you can wear this silk haven is as a hair tie. You guys know just how much I adore hair accessories at the moment, if my Instagram is anything to go by at the moment! But this is my favourite way to wear it. I feel super comfortable to wear this all day like this and gives me the perfect finish for that off duty look. Some might say that it’s impossible to do this with super short hair like mine, but actually its really easy guys. Simply tie a loose knot in the scarf to begin with and slide it up your pony tail and double knot it again to stay in place. It really is that simple.
This post is in collaboration with Aeneis -Paris. All opinions and photos are that of my own. Styled and directed by Santina Harrison of Hues of White.
