Velvet Chrystin Robe and Jaqueline straight mom jeans W/ Paige

If you had said to me this time last year “would you wear a robe style jacket out” I most probably would have replied ..no. But fast forward a year later I feel like I am really growing into my style and look and the kind of direction I want to be heading in. The robe (or some say kimono) style is this season’s new outwear. It’s what I like to call the perfect transitional outerwear for those in-between colder and warmer months. which is exactly why I wore this PAIGE Chrystin Robe (here).

It’s super lightweight and the luxurious velvet material and pattern makes it perfect for any occasion if you want to dress it up or dress it down. I adore the versatility of this robe, and in fact when it comes to purchasing investment pieces for my wardrobe this is the first thing that comes to my mind! How can I style it? Can it be styled in numbers? That kinda thing. So I’m thinking I could wear this as a dress also which I’m taking to Paris to try out! It’s super easy to wear with denim as a jacket and I love that you can wear it tied up or hanging off your shoulder for an effortless feel! For me the Chrystin Robe is the perfect piece to add a little eccentric glamour to your day to day wardrobe.

I’ve styled it with my Jacqueline mom straight jeans (here and similar here) from PAIGE. These jeans are the perfect go-to jeans. Super comfy and stretchy to help me run errands and the perfect mom style jeans that have fast become my signature look. I’ve pulled the look together with my Wallis gingham mules (here) and my trusted (and never off my arms) Simon Miller bag (here). I’m really into pastel colours at the moment and I’m wearing this pretty satin number from H&M (here– and under £10.00).
