Every year I find my love for tailoring kinda grows and with that my wardrobe seems to be an abode to the 90’s fashion trend that every year, just gets a hell of a lot better!
And this spring the suit takes the form and shape of a mini skirt (Yes it’s time to shave those legs!) and this burst of lemon from French Connection that I have been super lucky to team up with and show you! Not to mention that I am obsessed with and didn’t know my wardrobe needed it, till I got it!
It’s a beautiful neon yellow, which nicely ticks the box for SS20 and what we have been seeing all over the catwalk and our Instangrams. I went up a size in the blazer (here) as I prefer the fit to be a little boxy on top -to balance out the mini-skirt. It’s a great way to update your tailoring for the new season as it’s all about the rainbow shades and sleek and straight cuts. It’s simple design helps this jacket form part of that investment piece for your wardrobe that you can team with anything from jeans to shorts to culottes.
The mini skirt (here) features a pencil silhouette with fixed waistband (fits true to size!) and oozes effortless styling with a hint of playful feminine charm for spring. The design makes it super easy to team with trainers for a weekend off-duty look or some sandals, like I am wearing here from Chloe’s SS18 collection. It goes with anything and everything. What I love most about about this matchy matchy suit is just how versatile it is from dressing it up for a special occasion to a girls brunch or even the office!
