Whilst we are in this current world pandemic that see’s us staying at home, it’s a really good time for reflection and to really embrace what we truly have. Whether you are on your own or like me surrounded by a house full (I like to call them my beautiful crazy family!) it’s really important to have a date night set in the calendar. If you are living on your own get a Saturday night zoom call in with all your favourite gals, pour a glass of wine and dress up for that all important phone call!
I find that having a Saturday night date night in the calendar gives me something to really look forward to, not to mention keeps me sane and gets you out of those sweatpants! We have a family date night every Saturday, and I love getting ready for it, I want to wear something that’s pretty but that I can just throw in after a busy day with the kids like this slip neon dress (here) from French Connection.
A slip dress is my ultimate favourite dress to have in the wardrobe, think of it as a hero dress! You can wear it with anything, team it with trainers for a casual feel, style it with a polo neck for the winter months for a date night, or wear it with some heels and throw on a blazer to pull the look together for a date night.
As we are home the Andela neon dress (here) is the perfect option. The dress has a modern twist on the classic slip you may be a custom to. It’s cut in a hold neon colour which ticks the trends for SS20 when it comes to colours. The lace trim gives it a femininity and romantic vibe whilst the figure skimming empire seam shows off that figure of yours! The dress is super pretty that you really don’t need anything else other than some good jewellery for a date night at home. I’ve styled mine with my favourite Missoma (here) necklace and my Astrid and Miu (here) hoops that they sent me.
This post is in collaboration with French Connection. All photos and opinions are that of my own. I have picked the look and styled as I would.
You make everything look beyond effortless . Really glad to have found you
