Get Acquainted with : Motley x Frances Wadsworth Jones

I was beyond excited to see Motley in the fashion supplement for the Sunday times (here) and in particular about the new collaboration with designer Frances Wadseworth Jones, and even more excited to have been part of it with the photos shot for the new collection.

Frances Wadsworth Jones is a British Jeweller and Royal College of Art graduate. Frances lives in London, where she runs her design studio. She’s known for combining traditional craftsmanship techniques with subversive design.

Her new collaboration with Motley sets the trend for a one of a kind take on jewellery that I assure you, you would not have seen anywhere else. The leading jewel store LaCkore feels that this collaboration brakes the barrier for jewellery designs and meets the concept of Art meets fashion.

I’m super lucky enough to work with leading brands behind the scenes and shoot for them (if you caught my Instagram this week we are renovating and setting up a little studio for me) but this has by far been the most exciting to shoot! The designs for The Screw You collection is a not-so-subtle rejection of the prim and proper pearls of twinsets gone by. It combines daily wearable pieces that will make people ask a girl “where did you get that from”. Each piece has been designed and crafted so that you can wear these every day, and I am obsessed! My favourite day to day earring is the gold screw stud (here). You can layer this with any other piece from your wardrobe and makes a great ear stack to be envied by your girlfriends!

Or if you are wanting to make a bit more of statement than the La Peregrina Pearl Necklace (here)is the necklace for you. A stand out piece from the crowd. The infamous 500 year-old Peregrina Pearl was set in a custom necklace by no-holds-barred renegade Elizabeth Taylor in the 1960s. This statement limited edition necklace features a string of 48 freshwater, sustainably sourced pearls. With a distinct screw clasp delicately crafted in sterling silver, that I personally think Elizabeth would have approved!

But I think what I love most about this collection is the unique art twist on modern day jewellery, making it a little more fun to wear these pieces and add to your growing collection!
