Polka Dot Dream Dressing With Olivia Rubin

If there’s one thing that’s been on my mind lately it’s how I’m going to transition and get ready for dressing next season. YES next season is already on my mind and whilst the summer sales are happening I’m on the hunt for next seasons must haves, starting with polka dots, and who better to turn to than Olivia Rubin. Queen of adding colour to a minimalist wardrobe and prints to die for this fall polka dots will still be giving us something to talk about like this two piece I’m wearing here from Olivia Rubin (here for the skirt).

This two piece can be purchased separately and it’s the perfect recipe on how we will be dressing for next season. The silk skirt (which fits true to size) is a perfect transitional piece to take you nicely from season to season, you simply accessorise it with the seasons must have. It’s super versatile which is why I love this so much, and can be worn with so many different things it will go with anything . You could totally wear it with a big baggy knit and some sneakers for a daytime look for AW19 or you can team it like I have here with the Cecily cardigan which is also kind of the same print and clash them together. The knit is slightly oversized and I love how it balances out the proportion of the skirt.

It can be worn over your favourite denim jeans or even some tailored pants and some trainers for the ultimate off-duty look. I’ve styled it here whilst we have had really good warm days the evening have been a little windy so this makes for the perfect combination to wear. I’ve styled it with my Sandro Paris sandals (old but similar here) and my new Dune Dever bag in white (here). If you are looking for effortless dressing then this is it. The kind of outfit where you can throw on anything and it works without you having to work too hard or think “what shall I wear today”!. The pretty buttons (another Olivia Rubin staple) makes me feel polished and pulled together in a fun way! This look is my ultimate dream look and I’ve added another pop of colour to this pink outfit to give it some more sass appeal!
