So its finally here, Fall, Autumn whatever you call it, the new season has started and there’s something particularly fresh and welcoming for the new season ahead! I think after a pandemic, political unrest, global economic crisis, climate disaster (just to name a few) I think its safe to say that most of us are welcoming the new season with big open arms! I’m starting the new season looking at one of my favourite trends yet, I call this the “Gentlewoman” look and I’ve teamed up with the guys from L.K.Bennett to look ahead in a three part series of trends I’m welcoming this season.
Sleek and understated, my favourite era of the 70’s is my inspiration behind this. I’m thinking Bianca Jagger as my muse here and the way she would wear pants like these so effortlessly was my inspiration behind this first trend.
These are L.K.Bennetts bestselling wide-leg sailor pants (here) Parker, and they are back this season with an androgynous fluidity and ease. I’ve styled it with some feminine prim and polished accessories (here) and a two-tone plain knit (here)that make the look super easy to wear day or night. The colour of the knit compliments the trousers and balances out the look for an effortless flow and these dreamy pants have me thinking of Princess Diana vibes. Keeping the top simple accentuates the details on the trousers and I’ve styled this cute bag (here) for the ultimate 70’s feel and to add a little bit of neutral colour to tail in the new season. This look is great for brunch with the gals or if some of you are heading back to the office or simply zooming it from home, its a versatile look that proves time and time again that sometimes keeping things simple – and just a little bit Seventies – has the best results.
